Jet-Vent Air Vent
Only use one claw air vent or four liners with Jet-Vent air vents but not both.
Jet-Vent air vents are only available factory installed in "Preferred" BouMatic Liners.
Description
All air vents have the possibility of plugging (in the claw or in the short milk tube) but BouMatic's new Jet-Vent milk tube air vent (patent # 6,055,931) is different.
The Jet-Vent air vent from BouMatic is designed to shed the dirt and small particles that plug the competition's air vents. In fact our competitors' designs are funnel-shaped which collects dirt right over the metering hole.
In field trials of four farms, 34% of one competitor's air vents were completely plugged after four weeks compared to only 2% of the Jet-Vent air vents.
All air vents need to be checked frequently to ensure that they are not plugged, but with Jet-Vent air vents you are less likely to find one plugged when they are checked.
